Nana Ohhhh Creations
I create African inspired earrings and necklaces. I enjoy making jewellery and I love seeing people wearing my pieces. In my work, I try to encourage African women to feel self-love by using our ancient symbols and representations of who we are as a people.
Jewellery-making started out as a hobby for me, as a new mother while was at home with my new born child. I went to college briefly to study the basics of jewellery construction but I mostly learned online using the free tutorials I could find. Before this I was attending University to study Maths, but never really felt like it was what I wanted to do. I didn’t feel fulfilled, so consequently I never completed my course.
In the past, I have exhibited my pieces at a few markets and shops. My next step would like to create a website where my pieces can be bought. It would also like them to be available in more shops across the UK. It would feel great to see as many people as possible walking around with my pieces.
